My friend is hurting badly and I don't know how to help. I want to say something, do something, but I don't know what...

sometimes, that's all you need.
i should probably go over to carey and say hi sometime. i'll be working on that.
your friend is right you have all the control you need to go and hug and hold that person and make sure that they know that they are loved
