Yesterday I saw an old man grab his wife's hand in a parking lot and say, "You ready to go, baby girl?"

Today I put on my coat and stretched out MY hand, out of habit...out of expectancy...And the person who grabbed it was a 5 year old girl. I shamefully admit my disappointment that it wasn't the hand that I'd wanted, but it was still sweet none the less.

It's funny how your arms can literally ache when they aren't filled with what you love.
